Emmy June is a Finnish singer-songwriter and Nordicana artist who began writing songs in 2015 while living in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Drawing from Nordic folk, the American singer-songwriter tradition and Swedish Americana, Emmy June’s music captures the feeling of a late summer sunset and a wandering road trip.
With a sound that blends a 60s aesthetic with modern storytelling, her songs explore human connection, the importance of friendship, and the search for one’s place in the world.
Her latest album The Art of Fixing brings together a series of stories about love, burnout, the challenges of modern dating, and the search for self-worth.
The album is inspired by the japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, the tradition of Swedish Fika, and the artist’s experience of learning guitar at 36.
A Helsinki-based independent artist, Emmy June has released two EPs (2020) and two full-length albums (2023, 2026), most recently The Art of Fixing (produced by Michael Bleu), released in February 2026.
With over 130 live performances, Emmy June has established herself on Finland’s indie scene, performing at revenues like On The Rocks Helsinki, Semifinal Helsinki and Musiikkitalo, as well as at intimate songwriting nights and clubs.

"In my childhood home, we listened to a lot of American music alongside many Finnish favorites.
As a singer my first love was soul music, but when it comes to my songwriting I lean more toward folk.
When I was living in Sweden in my late 20s, I fell in love with Swedish Americana-influenced pop, which is also present in my music.
I don't have any formal musical training. My background is in art and dressmaking, and I see songwriting as a form of craftmanship as well.
Nordicana gives me the freedom to combine my Nordic roots, the American folk tradition, and artisanal values in the shape of music-without being constrained by institutional rules."
